Bruno Fernandes Gives Cristiano Ronaldo A Warm Welcome On Duty Abroad

Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes seemed to give his teammate Cristiano Ronaldo a warm welcome as he arrived for Portugal duty in advance of the forthcoming World Cup.

A video released by the Portuguese FA revealed Fernandes making his way to the training facility. Ronaldo is already in the facility and tried to greet his friend however Fernandes did not respond in a tepid manner and appeared to be more relaxed than the other athletes in the room.

This comes just days following Ronaldo delivered an explosive interview with TalkTV, slamming Manchester United, calling the club out for not advancing and stating that there is no respect for manager Erik Ten Hag.

When asked for an opinion on the exchange between the two players fellow Portugal midfielder Joao Mario tried his best to deny the notion of any conflict in the relationship between Ronaldo as well as Fernandes.

“I am in the locker room the time,” he told a press conference. “I watched the video, it’s hilarious because it could be taken in different ways but it was actually a joke between the two. Bruno was among the last ones to arrive. Cristiano asked Bruno if he’d come via boat.

However, the vice-captain is well-known for being committed to the team and is believed to have been placed in a predicament in the wake of Ronaldo’s interview, with regard to timing as well as the content.
