Dababy Says He Can Rap As Good As Eminem, Kendrick Lamar & J. Cole

DaBaby has claimed he can perform at the same level that Eminem, J. Cole as well as Kendrick Lamar.

The Charlottesville rhymer boasted about his braggadocious claims as a guest of Math Hoffa’s My Expert Opinion interview show. He stated that he doesn’t like rapping about the negative things in his personal life due to the fact that it isn’t his intention to profit from it. However, should he perform at the level of his peers it would be as good as G.O.A.T.’s.

“If I don’t feel like you know nothing about this shit, I’m not about to try and exploit my real life anyways, I’m just doing me,” Baby declared. “So when it comes to pain or anything that hurts me or someone I love, I can’t imagine in a rut of goddamned taking advantage of the thing. I can’t do it.”

He went on to say that his job is working in the “music business,” and that his music is tailored to what the fans feel right now.

“Ok you can make this beat and I’ll be Eminem level with that tidbit You have to get the other one to take me on a ride. It’s time to go find Kendrick Lamar. J. Cole, I’m not trying to be disrespectful to anyone but Boy, raise your hand.” Baby said. “I’m exactly like the way you describe it. N-ggas is also aware and I’m the same in real life. I’m not obligated to discuss anyone else’s tale. I’ll tell you about myself.”

This isn’t the first time that a “Bop” rapper has made the same claim. In the moments prior to running through an L.A. Leakers freestyle back in February, Baby made similar claims and claimed that someone had to get him into the same booth as legends.

“Don’t get it fuckin’ twisted,” he said to the duo of Justin Credible along with DJ Milk. “I love to turn people on, I like making people happy However, simultaneously, it’s important to find Kendrick Lamar. J. Cole for me N-GGA. Nas, JAY-Z. You must go out and get the ones.”

In a different freestyle he performed in support of Funk Flex on October 3, Baby was rapping about being poetically on par to 50 Cent, Will Smith and even the late 2Pac.

” Try to turn me into a popstar forgetting that Imma pop off on any n-gga/ Try me, I’m gonna make it hotter than hot sauce on Billboard with them young n-ggas still sitting outside my opp house,” he sings. “I’m the only one with the most to lose but the first one to let the shots off.”

The latest set of accusations is coming in the wake of Baby had a disappointing first week sales for his latest album Baby on Baby 2. which sold 16,000 equivalent units of album and did not even make it to it to the Top 20 on the Billboard 200. It was a far cry from the previous album which was 2020’s Blame it On Baby which was released at the top of the charts at No. 1 with 124,000 album equivalent units.

DJ Akademiks said that the rapper is being “blackballed” by the music industry, a view that each Meek Mill as well as Boosie Badazz agreed with.
