After weeks of hype surrounding the potential signing of receiver Odell Bettham Jr., the NFL’s greatest carnival barker has admitted that the show will continue in Dallas without OBJ.
Jerry Jones, the Cowboys owner, expressed concern that Beckham would be added to his team in the 2022 season on 105.3 The Fan.
Jones stated, via Todd Archer, ESPN.com, “That time is moving down the road relative to play in the playoffs so every day decreases our chances going forward.”
Beckham visited the Cowboys Bills and Giants. Beckham wanted to make the most of his potential playing in the postseason and negotiate a longer-term contract. It hasn’t worked.
At this point, he’ll likely wait until 2023 before signing. It is up to him to decide if he will accept the offers that come his way or wait.
