Kanye West confirms presidential run

Kanye West has said plans the run to become president in the next election.

The hitmaker, who is known as Stronger, who legally altered his name from Ye has was a candidate for president during the year 2020 but later backed out after securing just 50k votes, and failed to get on the cut in several states. However, the hitmaker has announced to throw his hat to the ring in 2024’s elections. He has hired the services of controversial far-right leader Milo Yiannopoulos to help with his campaign.

In a video that circulated via Twitter this the 20th of November (Nov 20), Kanye said: “This is Milo right here, working on the campaign.”

Then, he was later asked: “Is that an announcement?”

Milo smiled and said: “I guess it is. Thanks, I accept.”

The cameraman asked the rapper, who is 45 years old, whether he was “running” for president.

Kanye said: “Yes. It’s simple because ain’t nobody can tell me, you know, ‘you should say this, you shouldn’t say that,’ you know? It’s just we’re moving towards the future.”

The news comes after Akon, Kanye’s best friend Akon has recently suggested about the fact that one of his friends’ bizarre actions — including the recurrence of antisemitic rants as well as the wearing of a White Lives Matter t-shirt during Paris Fashion Week — were an attempt to win over voters who would not otherwise support Trump’s campaign to return to office in 2024.

Akon stated: “I think Kanye is more intelligent than you think. This is the genius aspect of Kanye. What’s his next goal? To be a candidate for office, surely. I’m simply stating the truth! To the information we have that his next goal is to be a candidate for office, isn’t it? Who was his biggest patron? Trump.

“In order for Kanye to have a shot, he needs to have a piece of that base. This is how he’s getting it. And he knows this!”

The singer of 49 is adamant that Kanye has offended the Black community over his latest rants, but believes that they’re accepting of the community and will eventually back the singer.

He continued: “He knows he’s gonna make a lot of Black people angry. But, guess what? We’re forgiving people. We are. He knows that, too.”
