The following the 18th of January (January 18) The Compton native posted on Instagram to mark the release by reminiscing about the recording process as well as what it took to get the album completed. In the words of The Game, his main objective was to tell his story and offer his son the chance to have a different experience than his father did.
The singer also thanked fifty Cent as well as Dr. Dre, for all that they did to assist him. Both 50 Cent and Dre played the role of executive producers for The Game, and The Game was also signed to G-Unit and Aftermath as well.
“18 days ago this day …. A hip-hop classic was created,” The Game captioned his post. “All I was looking to accomplish was share my story and ensure that my son wouldn’t live the way I had. Snoop Dogg gave me the torch, and @bustarhymes kept me on track… Dr. Drew set the stage and @50cent helped put the pieces together.”
He added: “I took @jonathanmannion to the bottom of Compton, California & showed him the depths of what I endured. He has captured what I was looking for in my town, my hood and shared with the world my vision. Be aware that it’s not a fantasy anymore once it is a reality.”
Despite showing admiration for the 50-plus crowd and Dr. Dre, The Game has taken a lot of criticisms at the pair in recent times. One of the latest incidents witnessed Game declare the claim that Kanye West has done more for himself over Dr. Dre in one of episodes on the show Drink Champs.
“It’s crazy that Ye did more for me in the last two weeks than [Dr.] Dre did for me my whole career,” he said to members of the Drink Champs crew. Then, a few months later the singer admitted in a chat with the I Am Athlete podcast that the hurt he felt was due to Dre not inviting Dre to perform with him during the Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2022.
“The real reason I wasn’t on the Super Bowl is that I’m not a ‘safe’ artist,” said the artist stated. “You aren’t sure what Game will do when he gets up there. They chose the safe artists.”
In the case of fifty Cent, The Game has called the G-Unit boss the “bitch” whilst performing during a recent show held in Houston, Texas.
“I’m an informer for everyone herethat I’m still not like 50 Cent. He’s a bitch,” Game said. “It isn’t a cut by that n-gga. The next time we’re are in the same spot and n-gga is throwing shit. I’m not going to bother with him, he’s is a snob N-GGA.”
Game continues: “I’m a say it in Houston I’ll do the same thing on the streets of New York, I’ll say it wherever n-gga. That is straight and straight. And I love the show on television. Now put it online.”
